When Out Leadership launched OutQUORUM nine years ago, just two companies in the Fortune 500 – and no companies outside of the United States – included sexual orientation or gender identity as a metric for board diversity.

Last year, 23 Fortune 500 companies had adopted LGBTQ+ inclusive board diversity policies. Because of Out Leadership’s advocacy and the work of many of our member firms who continue to push their organizations to make concrete policy changes, that number nearly doubled during 2021.

Out Leadership is excited to launch the third annual OutQUORUM report at our 2023 OutQUORUM summit this spring. We’ve expanded our board diversity data globally for the first time, and we’re seeing unprecedented progress across the charts.
