The investment arm of the Royal Bank of Canada and a not-for-profit called LGBT In Capital Markets have collaborated to launch a coaching program for capital markets called Common Grounds for LGBT+ professionals, which the bank says is the first in Canada.
Common Grounds participants are matched with industry professionals based on numerous criteria including career goals and LGBT+ community involvement.
“Common Grounds is about building meaningful connections between people, providing LGBT+ and straight allies in the industry with an opportunity to advance the career trajectories of LGBT+ talent,” said Steven Solarz, executive director of LGBT in Capital Markets.
