IBM’s Ginni Rometty talks about her company’s work against bathroom bills in North Carolina and Texas

Bloomberg Businessweek interviews IBM’s CEO Ginni Rometty; in the wide-ranging conversation, Rometty says that her decision to speak out against bathroom bills in North Carolina and Texas was motivated by the concerns of the company’s “LGBT population,” and notes that the company met with the Texas House of Representatives 150 times on the issue.

Rometty clarifies that IBM picks its battles in terms of value alignment and that the company was concerned about how employees would feel coming to work in states where bathroom bills were law.
