Out Leadership is looking for a creative, dynamic and organized Manager of Digital Media & Communications to lead our digital strategy and content creation efforts. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about storytelling, social media, writing, and driving LGBTQ+ inclusion in business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take Out Leadership’s social media presence to a whole new level of creativity, with outstanding content that engages our audiences.
- Oversee and manage Out Leadership’s social media channels, ensuring that content is outstanding, timely, and aligned with our mission to advance LGBTQ+ equality in the business world.
- Plan the editorial calendar, write and edit our weekly newsletter “OutNEWS”, which reaches over 20,000 CEOs, board members, and business leaders, sharing insights and updates on LGBTQ+ leadership, business impact, and key initiatives.
- Develop and execute multi-channel communications to drive engagement with member companies, promote Out Leadership events, and support our broader goals.
- Assist with PR efforts by managing media relationships and ensuring consistent, effective messaging for Out Leadership across external platforms.
- Work with the internal Out Leadership team to create compelling content that reflects the organization’s initiatives and inspires action.
- Help with the writing and development of our flagship research reports, including those on Next Gen Talent, Self-ID, Board Diversity, and the Business Climate Index, by collaborating with internal teams and external contributors.
- Utilize social listening tools and innovative technologies like generative AI to improve content production, anticipate trends, and engage our audience effectively.
Skills & Requirements:
- Self-motivated and ability to come up with ideas, including the ability to translate ideas into engaging content with broad appeal
- Proven experience managing digital media strategies and social media platforms.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with experience in content development for newsletters, social media, and reports.
- Ability to create and design engaging social media content that stands out, including video.
- Excellent collaboration skills with the Out Leadership team and external partners
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with digital tools, social listening, and content management systems.
- Ability to leverage AI tools
Salary range: $85-105K
