DESCRIPTION

We seek a creative events & marketing professional to help drive engagement and participation at Out Leadership’s global events. These invitation-only events serve our 90+ member companies representing banking, law, tech, industrial, real estate, consumer, retail, and other industries. We convene annual Summits in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Sydney, and also produce events in a range of cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Paris, Singapore and San Francisco.

This role will work closely with the Director of Global Events and the Managing Director of Marketing, Communications & Creative to bring our content to life across all of our events.

The Associate will ensure our events deliverables meet and exceed the expectations of our member companies, liaising closely with host and sponsor companies to achieve their stated goals. The Associate will contribute towards the successful execution of the event and speaker engagement processes, along with developing creative marketing materials (Invitations, emails, website updates etc).

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Help to build and drive Out Leadership’s corporate events, integrating our diverse offerings and ensuring the on-time delivery of cutting-edge, impeccably branded experiences.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining our registration experience for all guests.
  • Assist in growing our global speaker sourcing network; including business leaders, cultural icons, political leaders, LGBTQ+ advocates, and experts.
  • Work with member, host, and sponsor companies to achieve content and production goals.
  • Develop marketing communications for events to drive participation and create publicity, including invitations, events digests emails, event materials (digital and physical signage, flyers, social media, brochures, etc), and making updates to our website.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to promote our events – both showcasing our event content across platforms and also integrating original research and thought leadership produced by the Communications team.
EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a demonstrated track record of planning and producing creative events for diverse audiences
  • Love project management and deadlines, be ruthless in following up, all while thriving in a fluid environment
  • Experienced in-building event registration platforms – Cvent preferred
  • Experience in developing marketing materials (PDF invites, marketing emails, web pages, using platforms like mailchimp, canva, CVent, WordPress, LinkedIn.
  • Experience in event marketing using social media.
  • A flair for elegant design and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in copy editing.
  • Be enthusiastic and proactive –  you’re excited to lock down dates a year in advance and revel in the success of scoring your keynote speaker.
  • Think creatively at the intersection of LGBTQ+ inclusion and business, leveraging Out Leadership’s current resources and network to create content that helps us deliver on our mission and enhance our position in the marketplace.
  • Be keen to measure effectiveness and engagement, open to a feedback-oriented culture, and constantly be seeking to improve our deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with past and future speakers, sponsors, member companies, and vendors.
  • Team player. We’re looking for someone who is kind and works well as part of a small, close-knit team.
QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or greater).
  • 2+ years of Events Production and marketing experience.
  • Experience with CRMs, Cvent, Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress and LinkedIn is preferred.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and respect for the cultural values, practices, beliefs, and social experiences of diverse communities.
  • A background (or proven interest) in the for-profit sector.
LOCATION

This position will be based in Out Leadership’s global headquarters in New York City.

COMPENSATION

Salary range $60-70K, including a competitive benefits package with paid time off, 401(k) with a 4% employer match, and a 100% covered health plan.
