JPMorgan Chase honored for diversity commitment

The National Business Inclusion Consortium and National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce have honored Out Leadership member JPMorgan Chase as the “Diversity Corporation of the Year,” for its commitment to the LGBT community, women, people of color, and people with disabilities.

Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase, said in a statement, “People are our most important asset and enable our long-term growth and success. Maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive is not only the smart thing to do – it’s the right thing to do.”  According to the NGLCC, “by recognizing these industry leaders and the policymakers who collaborate with them… we are creating a better future for all diverse communities in business.”

A number of other Out Leadership member companies were also recognized at the ceremony, which took place yesterday in Washington D.C.  Bank of America, Capital One, KPMG, Morgan Stanley, and Prudential were all also honored for their commitment to diversity.
