UN launches Global Business Standards on LGBT+ Discrimination

United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ ad Al Hussein launched the United Nations’ new global standards on LGBT+ workplace discrimination, developed in partnership with the Institute for Human Rights and Business, at a press event at Microsoft on September 26, 2017.

The standards ask the business sector to help move the needle towards greater equality and fair treatment for LGBT+ people everywhere.

The standards and related materials are accessible on the U.N. Free & Equal campaign website at www.unfe.org/standards

Top executives will discuss the new standards and other best practices for advocating for LGBT+ inclusion through business at Out Leadership’s 2017 LGBT+ Senior Leader Summit in Asia, hosted by KPMG, HSBC, and Thomson Reuters in Hong Kong this November.
