Nixon Peabody works with StartOut to actively foster LGBT+ entrepreneurs

Nixon Peabody has been recognized as a trailblazer when it comes to LGBT+ equality within the legal sphere.

Going beyond pro bono case assistance, the firm has also donated 2,300 square feet of its San Francisco office and partnered with StartOut to launch the StartOut Growth Lab.

The firm’s lawyers will provide free legal advice to the seven businesses owned by LGBT+ people served by the Growth Lab for a six month period.

Tom Gaynor, an out leader who serves as the firm’s managing partner in San Francisco, says he wanted to accelerate economic equality for LGBT+ entrepreneurs who haven’t had equal access to capital or business partners.
