KPMG, RBC named among Canada’s Top 100 Diversity Employers

Two of Out Leadership’s Member Companies, KPMG and RBC, have been named to the 2016 Canada’s Best Diversity Employers List.  The list was published online last week, and released as a print magazine insert in The Globe and Mail on February 24.

KPMG was honored, in part, for its commitment to LGBT workplace inclusion.  A senior accountant told The Globe, “The pride@kpmg [employee resource group]… is a continued reminder that it’s not just OK to bring my authentic self to work: it’s celebrated.”

RBC’s engagement on LGBT issues was also highlighted.  The publications noted that “RBC recently introduced LGBT Inclusion Webcast Series to introduce LGBT and awareness training, and also introduced new workplace gender transition guidelines for employees.”

Blake, Cassel, and Graydon LLP was also named to the list.  In January the law firm hosted Out Leadership Founder & Principal Todd Sears, who delivered a presentation about how diversity (and particularly LGBT inclusion) can drive business.
