Comprehensive survey of Japanese parents reveals many would accept an LGBT+ child

The LGBT Marketing Lab has released a survey evaluating parental views of LGBT+ community in Japan, finding that a huge majority of Japanese parents say they would accept their children coming out as LGBT+, albeit many would only do so reluctantly.

While LGBT+ awareness and acceptance is on the upswing in Japan, many people still hold stigmas around coming out at work or to your family. This study complicates the belief, commonly held in Japan, that most parents would not be accepting: Over 20% of participants would immediately accept their child if they came out and 90% would eventually come to accept their child.
