The LGBTQ Business Equality Excellence Award, an accolade that honors companies who have demonstrated outstanding responsibility in securing LGBT+ equality for employees and consumers alike, is the newest feature of the Business Equality Network. The Business Equality Network (BEQ) is a group of strategic media, consulting, research and business accelerators committed to reaching and empowering LGBTQ, women, minority and other underrepresented, underserved and underutilized business communities.
The award is the first of its kind from the network, and it honors 107 major corporations, employers, and two sports organizations across the United States. Yahoo Finance has reported that most of the awardees have also been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign’s 2017 Corporate Equality Index, making them the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
