Baker McKenzie leads by example, implements gender transition and gender identity guidelines

Baker McKenzie has announced and a new set of Gender Transition and Identity Guidelines, joining other leading employers in which support best practices in implementing best practices to addressing the needs of transgender, non-binary and non-conforming gender identity people at work.

The firm’s wrote its new guidelines in part by drawing on best practices published by the Transgender Law Center and the Human Rights Campaign.

“This is about proactively sending a message of support to the transgender community, and ensuring that everyone knows Baker McKenzie is a safe and welcoming place for transgender individuals to be their authentic selves,” said Jennifer Fox Crisp, the Firm’s Director of Global Talent Management in North America. “Many of our clients have already implemented similar policies, benefits and practices for transgender inclusion, and we are very pleased to join them.”
