The Changing Landscape for LGBTQ Equality in Italy

Igor is the executive director of Italy Parks – Liberi e Uguali. Fabrice will interview him on progress in the corporate world in Italy: what are its drivers? What is the role of the country’s culture and globalization? Is the Fashion industry finally catching up? As Italy was severely hit by Covid19, Fabrice will ask him if he believes the pandemic will affect the pace of the journey towards LGBTQ equality.

Igor is the Executive Director of Parks –Liberi e Uguali, Italy’s only non–profit employers’ association engaged in diversity management and LGBT+inclusion in the workplace.
Croatian by birth and Italian by adoption, Igor is a multilingual business manager with a previous 15–year experience as a corporate and investment banker in various management positions in a primary international bank.
As Executive Director of Parks, member of the its Board of Directors and its legal representative, Igor is responsible for the business development and enlargement of the Association’s shareholding, with high–level representation in Italy and abroad with respect to member and prospect member companies, foreign diplomatic missions, leaders of the Public Sector and of the institutions of higher education. He is a trainer on diversity management, inclusive leadership and LGBT inclusion to businesses, holds university lectures and is a speaker in public conferences and events.
Parks currently encompasses over 70 major multinational and Italian companies, leaders in their respective business sectors and in global and LGBT inclusion. Parks is the promoter of the Parks LGBT Diversity Index, Italy’s only benchmark for policies and practices put in place for the benefit of the LGBT+workforce.
