Out Leadership will be leading a conversation about the new groundbreaking HBO documentary, Welcome to Chechnya. From Academy Award-nominated director David France (How to Survive a Plague, The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson) comes Welcome to Chechnya, a powerful and eye-opening documentary about a group of activists risking their lives to confront the ongoing anti-LGBTQ persecution in the repressive and closed Russian republic of Chechnya. This panel will be moderated by Out Leadership’s Managing Director for Global Equality Initatives, Fabrice Houdart. He’ll be joined by panelists Maria Sjödin who is the Deputy Executive Director of OutRight Action International and Graeme Reid, Director, LGBT Rights Program Director at Human Rights Watch.
