In a new study of more than 1,000 firms, Professor Shaun Pichler found that adopting LGBT+ supportive policies like domestic partner benefits and non-discrimination policies lead to better firm performance over time.
Many past studies have shown the benefit of LGBT+ supportive policies for recruitment, retention, and investment, but this study shows these policies lead to better performance in comparison to competitors without LGBT+ supportive policies. Conversely, the study found, if a firm discontinued these policies, its performance would suffer.
