More than 10,000 participate in the third annual Pink Dot, Hong Kong’s largest LGBT+ rights festival

The Hong Kong LGBT+ community and its allies gathered for the third annual HK Pink Dot Festival on Sunday.

The event was co-organized by BigLove Alliance and Pink Alliance.

Guests included celebrities, performers, and politicians who spoke to this year’s theme, Love Wins, a deliberate reference to the phrase that became a rallying cry for the same-sex marriage movement in the U.S..  In Hong Kong there is no legal recognition of same-sex marriage.

Pink Dot moved to a larger venue this year to accommodate larger crowds, after over 15,000 people attended last year.
