Hogan Lovells to Sponsor Out Leadership’s OutWOMEN, Which Convenes LBT+ Women in Business

Hogan Lovells will be a Global Sponsor of Out Leadership’s initiative OutWOMEN for 2017, the companies announced today.

OutWOMEN convenes and celebrates LBT+ women leaders in business. Hogan Lovells joins IBM as the second Global Sponsor of the initiative.

“We know that diverse leadership has a tangible positive impact on business performance,” said Out Leadership Managing Director Stephanie Sandberg. “Yet currently fewer than 5% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women, and fewer than 1% of FTSE 250 CEOs are women. Of the Financial Times’ 2015 list of global leading LGBT executives, only 24% were women. OutWOMEN seeks to give leading LBT+ women a platform so they can champion their accomplishments – and to cultivate future generations of Out Women who will build business and drive equality.”

OutWOMEN launched in March 2016. The initiative has already hosted private dinners for senior-level executive women in cities around the globe, including New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong; Washington DC and London are scheduled for fall. OutWOMEN also hosts breakfasts and lunch panels at Out Leadership global summits, open to all, to help further connect LBT+ women in business and discuss the issues they face at work.

“Hogan Lovells has championed diversity and inclusion for many years. We know the benefits of strong LBT+ women leaders,” said Marcy Wilder, Partner, Hogan Lovells. “Our commitment to gender equality and inclusion is at the core of what Hogan Lovells stands for. Working with OutWOMEN is the next step in that mission.”
